FOR 2006-07 (Wichita, KS) - Three Trees, a center for grieving children and their families, has selected board members and officers for 2006-07. They are: Joan Moore, community advocate and past president of the Junior League of Wichita, president; David Wheeler, Wheeler, Kelley & Hagney, president-elect; Julie Prater, Texas Creative, treasurer; Liz McGinness, USD 259, secretary; Mike Babich, Babich & Associates; Joan Farha, community advocate; Frances Foster, American Red Cross; Katie Frank, J.P. Weigand & Sons; Tish Knappenberger, Cessna; Boyd McPherson, Joseph & Hollander; Russ Meyer, III, Cessna; Linda Newman, Intrust Bank; Gigi Phares, JD, LMSW, educator; Jamie Schmaltz, community advocate; and JoVeta Wescott, Kansas Parish Nurse Ministry. Three Trees provides support
and a comforting environment for grieving children and their families. It is
the only children's grief center in south-central Kansas. Since it opened its
doors in the fall of 2000 over 1,050 children and their families have been
helped through its age-appropriate support groups. |
